RemovingthePowerCenterAssembly
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,settheparking
brake,shutofftheengine,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Disconnectthebatterycablesfromthebattery.Removethenegativebattery
cableandthenremovethepositivecable;refertoServicingtheBattery
(page5–110).
3.Removetheoperatorseatfromthemachine;refertoRemovingtheOperator
Seat(page6–60).
4.Unlatchandremovethecoverpanel(item24inFigure296).
5.Toaccessthemachinecomponentsbelowthepowercenterassembly,do
thefollowing:
A.Removethescrewsthatsecurethecentertrayassembly(item15in
Figure296)tothepowercenter.
B.Removetheange-headscrewsthatattachthepowercenterhousing
(item21inFigure296)tothecabplatform.Removethehousingfrom
themachine.
C.Carefullyraiseandsupportthepowercentertraywithallattached
electricalcomponentstogetaccessbelowthepowercenter.
6.Ifcompleteremovalofthepowercentertrayisnecessary,dothefollowing:
A.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthewireharnessconnectors.
B.Disconnectallthewireharnessconnectorsfromtheelectrical
componentsattachedtothepowercentertray.
C.Carefullyseparatewireharnessfrompowercentertrayandelectrical
componentsontray.Removepowercentertrayfrommachine.
InstallingthePowerCenterAssembly
1.Ifthepowertraywasremoved,dothefollowing:
A.Carefullypositiontheelectricalharnesstothecentertraycomponents
andinstallthecentertraytothemachine.
B.Connectallthewireharnessconnectorstothecomponentsonthepower
center.
2.Placethepowercenterhousingtothemachine.Securethetraytothe
housingandthenthehousingtothecabplatform.
3.Installandsecurethecoverpanelwiththe4swelllatches(item1inFigure
296).
4.Installtheoperatorseat;refertoInstallingtheOperatorSeat(page6–61).
5.Connectthebatterycablestothebattery.Connectthepositivecableand
thenconnectthenegativecable;refertoServicingtheBattery(page5–110).
