The Carrier Low button turns the Carrier Tape Low Sensor on and off. The Carrier Tape Low
Sensor detects when the carrier tape reel is running low. When the Carrier Tape Low Sensor is
activated, an error message appears at the bottom of the HMI screen. The recommended setting
for the Carrier Motion Sensor is ON.
The Carrier Motion button turns the Carrier Motion Sensor on and off. The Carrier Motion Sen-
sor detects when the carrier tape has stopped moving due to a tape jam or breakage. If the Car-
rier Motion Sensor is triggered, the job that is being run is paused and an error message appears
at the bottom of the HMI screen. The recommended setting for the Carrier Motion Sensor is ON.
The Empty Pocket Detect button turns the EPD Sensor on and off. The EPD Sensor detects
when a carrier tape pocket is empty. If the EPD Sensor is activated during a job, the job that is
being run is paused and an error message appears at the bottom of the HMI screen.
Note: The recommended setting for the Carrier Motion Sensor is ON if the 2D Vision
Module is not installed. If 2D Vision is installed, EPD is unnecessary as the camera auto-
matically detects empty carrier tape pockets, therefore it is not visible on the Taper Tab.
When EPD is enabled, the Pockets Until Detection field is also active. Count the number of
pockets from the EPD Sensor to the nozzle, including the pocket under the EPD Sensor. Enter
this number in the Pockets To Detect field
