5. Reject Options
This section offers three reject choices for parts that do not pass
inspection.
Reject - Rotate 180 rotates a rejected part 180
degrees and then returns it to the pocket it was origi-
nally picked from. When Rotate 180 is selected, both
Tray 1 and Tray 2 act as input/reject trays.
Reject Bin. This will place all rejected parts in the
Reject Bin. When Reject Bin is selected and Tray Out-
put is disabled, both Tray 1 and Tray 2 act as input
trays only.
Reject Tray. This will place all rejected parts in Tray 2.
When Reject Tray is selected, Tray 1 acts as an input/
output tray and Tray 2 acts as the reject tray.
The Reject Tray Reset button is only active when Reject Tray
is the selected Reject Option. Clicking the Reject Tray Reset
button clears any stored data from the last reject tray that was
loaded to ensure the first reject part will be placed in the first
pocket of the reject tray.
6. Tray To Tray Options
Enter the part thickness in millimeters in the Part Dimension
Thickness field.
When placing output in the tray, it is sometimes desirable to set
the place nozzle height slightly higher than the pick nozzle
height. This prevents the nozzle from pressing the part against
the pocket floor and damaging delicate leads, etc. This is known
as the Z Axis Offset. The recommended setting for the Z Axis
Offset is 1-2 mm depending on the part type and size.
7. Reflector Type
Reflector Type indicates the type of reflector that is loaded on
the nozzle. The round nozzle reflector is the default reflector
and can be used for all standard parts. The square nozzle
reflector is used for large parts. Select Round or Square.
8. Part Type
Part Type options include Leaded or BGA parts.
