1-50 Engine Mechanical Industrial 1.6L
1. Remove rear part of toothed belt cover (arrow) from oil
pump and camshaft housing.
2. Detach cylinder head bolts in sequence shown.
3. Remove camshaft housing from cylinder head.
4. Remove cam followers, thrust pieces and hydraulic valve
lifter – note layout.
5. Remove cylinder head from cylinder block.
Clean
1. Clean sealing surfaces, bore holes and thread of cylinder
head bolts.
Inspect
1. Check cylinder head and cylinder block for plane surface
– see operations Cylinder Head, Check for Plane Sur-
face and Cylinder Block, Check for Plane Surface.
