4. Bearing shell −
Removal
1) Inspect the bearing shell (2, Fig. 6) and
go ahead to replace it, if necessary.
2) Remove working platform 94143, see
Fig. 4.
3) Move the top of the connecting rod (1,
Fig. 6) towards fuel side by slackening
manual ratchet (H3) and tightening of
manual ratchet (H4).
4) Install the brackets 94326A on the
bearing shell (2) with the lugs towards
the inside, see detail I.
5) Attach the chain 94325 to the brackets
94326A.
6) Attach the hook of manual ratchet (H4)
to the chain 94325.
7) Attach the deviation Pipe 94117B to the
column, see view II.
8) Attach sling 94039-015 to the gallery
and chain block 94017-014 (H5) to the
sling.
9) Attach the hook of chain block (H5)
also to the chain 94325.
10) Remove the screws (3) that hold the
bearing shell in position.
11) Operate manual ratchet (H4) and chain
block (H6) to lift the bearing shell (2)
out of the connecting rod (1) and out of
the column.
