2. Removal
WARNING
Injury Hazard: The
connecting rod weighs
6000 kg. To prevent injury,
be careful when you move
the connecting rod.
WARNING
Injury Hazard: Before you
operate the turning gear,
make sure that no
personnel are near the
flywheel.
1) Use the manual ratchets (H1) and (H2),
both 94016-015, to move the
connecting rod (1) to the fuel side (see
Fig. 2).
2) Attach chain block 94017-045 (H3) with
shackle (94019P) to the top of the
column.
3) Attach the hook of chain block (H3) to
the bottom shackle of the lifting
tool (94337), see Fig. 2.
4) Remove manual ratchet (H1) and
disconnect manual ratchet (H2) from
the connecting rod.
5) Attach deviation pipe 94117B and
94117C to the column as shown in
Fig.3.
6) Use the turning gear and the chain
block (H3) to move the opper part of
the connecting rod near the door of the
column, see Fig. 3.
7) Attach deviation pipe 94319 to the
beam of the gallery, see upper detail.
8) Put round sling 94039-057 around the
beam and attach chain block
94017−047 (H4) to the sling.
9) Connect hook of chain block (H4) to
lifting tool 94337 at the connecting
rod(1) and tighten the chain block.
10) Disconnect hook of chain block (H3)
from connecting rod (1).
