2. Crosshead Pin −
Removal
WARNING
Injury Hazard: The weight
of the lifting tool (94324) is
approx. 104 kg; the weight
of the lifting tool (94337) is
approx. 43 kg. Use
approved equipment or
sufficient personnel and
move the equipment.
9) Use an applicable tool to remove the
compression shim (weight 77.3 kg).
10) Use the engine crane to attach the
lifting tool (94324, Fig.1) to the
crosshead.
11) Put the lubricating oil SAE 30 to the
threads and the contact surfaces of the
screws (1) on the lifting tool (94337).
12) Attach the lifting tool (94337) to the
both sides on connecting rod (2).
13) Torque the screws (1) to 150 Nm.
14) Put the following tools on the working
platform (94144, Fig. 2):
a) Spur-geared chain block
(94017-051).
b) Spur-geared chain block
(94017-004).
c) Bracket (94322B).
d) Shackle (94019L).
e) Lifting eye bolt M56 (94045-M56).
f) Spur-geared chain block
(94017-040).
g) Shackle (94019P).
15) Make sure that the tools do not fall into
the machine room.
