6. Oil Baffle − Installation
Note: When you do this procedure, make
sure that the locking tabs are on
the screws before assembly.
1) Clean the four segments and the
interfaces of the oil baffle.
2) Apply the sealing agent Loctite 5399
(or an approved alternative) to the
segments and interfaces of the oil
baffle.
3) Put the segment (1, Fig. 7) in position
on the camshaft.
4) Turn the segment (1) clockwise
approximately 90°.
5) Put the segment (2) in position on the
camshaft.
6) Attach the segments (1, 2) together
with the taper pin (3) and the two
screws (4).
7) Turn the segments (1, 2) clockwise
approximately 90°.
8) Put the segment (5) in position on the
camshaft.
9) Attach the segments (5, 2) together
with the taper pin (3) and the two
screws (4).
