4. Installation
1) Make sure that the lip seal (2, Fig. 6) is
in position in the bottom of the ICU (3).
2) Remove the protection from the inlet
port on the fuel rail (1).
3) Attach the chain (94327) to the hook of
the engine room crane.
4) Attach a hook of the chain (94327) to
the eye bolt (94045−M10).
5) Use the engine room crane to get the
ICU (3) into position above the inlet
port in the fuel rail (1).
Note: When you do step 6), make sure
that the dowel pins in the fuel rail
(1) engage with the holes in the
ICU (3). Also make sure that the
dowel pins in the ICU (3) engage
with the holes in the fuel rail (1).
6) Lower the ICU (3) on to the fuel rail (1).
7) Remove the chain (94327).
8) Remove the eye bolt (94045−M10).
9) Apply Never Seez NSBT8 to the
threads of the six bolts (1, Fig. 7).
10) Install the six bolts (1). Torque the six
bolts symmetrically to 55 Nm.
11) Apply Never Seez NSBT8 to the
threads of the four bolts (1, Fig. 8).
12) Install the three bolts (1). Torque the
three bolts symmetrically to 30 Nm.
13) Connect the electrical connection (3) to
the rail valve (2).
