3. Sealing Faces Grind
1) Do a check of the O-ring (3, Fig. 3). If
the O-ring is unserviceable, remove
and discard it.
2) Loosen the claw (4).
3) Put an applicable piece of material (e.g.
a cloth) into the opening of the HP
servo oil pipe (1).
4) Grind the sealing surface (SF) of the
HP servo oil pipe (1) as follows:
a) Use the tool (94871) and
compound grade No. 200 to grind
the sealing surface of the HP
servo oil pipe (1).
b) Use the tool (94871) and
compound grade No. 500 to get a
smooth finish on the sealing
surface (SF) of the HP servo oil
pipe (1).
5) Clean the HP servo oil pipe (1).
6) If you discarded the O-ring in step 1),
attach a new O-ring (3) to the
flange (2).
7) Remove the cloth from the opening in
the HP servo oil pipe (1).
8) If necessary, do steps 1) to 7) for the
other HP servo oil pipes.
4. Adjustment
1) Make sure that the claw (4) is correctly
attached to the HP servo oil pipe (1).
2) Make sure that there is a distance of
6.0 mm between the end of the HP
servo oil pipe (1) and the claw (4).
Note: You can adjust the claw (4) with an
open-ended wrench.
