A positive potential relative to the toned image formed on the photoconductor is applied to the
transfer roller. This allows the transfer roller to move the developed toner from the surface of the
photoconductor to the paper as the paper is passed between the transfer roller and photoconductor.

The cleaning blade removes the residual toner from the photoconductor after the transfer. After
cleaning, the process moves again to the charge process and repeats each cycle until the entire
image is transferred to a side of the paper.
