6 Check the document
setting.
Is the document placed
on the document glass
correctly?
Replace the Scanner
(page 8-31).
Reseat the document.
7 Is the paper dry, a
recommended type, and
loaded in the correct
position?
Go to step 8. Replace the paper
with paper that is
new, dry, and
approved for the
printer, then go to
step 8.
8 Print Test Pattern 3.
Does the defect persist?

9 Check that the paper tray
paper guides are set
correctly.

10 Reseat the Imaging Unit.
