Theory of Operation
Imaging Unit
The Imaging Unit contains the photo-conductive drum, cleaning blade, transfer
belt, transfer roller, and waste toner reservoir.
The photo-conductive drum is driven by the Main Motor through a series of gears.
When the Main Motor is energized, it turns the drive gear, which in turn rotates the
drum.
The cleaning blade is pressed against the drum to remove excess toner. Waste
toner is stored in the Imaging Unit.
