4. Remove the Tray 1 Feed Roll. (Figure 3)
a. Release the hook and remove the Tray 1 Feed Roll in the direction of the arrow.

5. Remove the Tray 1 Retard Pad. (Figure 4)
a. Release the hook and open the Tray 1 Retard Pad.
b. Remove the Tray 1 Retard Pad.
c. Pull out and remove the shaft.

Replacement
1. To install, carry out the removal steps in reverse order.
2. When installing the Tray 1 Retard Pad, attach the spring (x2) to the hole (x2) of the Tray 1
Retard Pad. (Figure 5)

3. After a replacement, enter the Diag Mode and use [Initialize HFSI Counter] to clear the
HFSI counter.
