Maintenance Counter
The electrodes in the ScreenTape nest contacting to the contact points on the
ScreenTape devices can be replaced to ensure optimal instrument
performance. This should happen after 50000 analyses or after a year of use,
what ever comes first. Schedule planned preventive maintenance by Agilent
Service at this point.
Each time a ScreenTape lane is used for electrophoresis the maintenance
counter Samples Analyzed is increased. The planned use of the electrodes is 1
year, namely 365 days, starting with its insertion. The remaining time until an
Electrode Cartridge change is due is shown in days. The TapeStation
Controller software shows these maintenance counters and a respective
warning when a threshold value of 50000 samples is reached or the Electrode
Cartridge change is due.

Only in the 4150 TapeStation system the Electrode Cartridge can be changed either by a
trained service engineer during a preventive maintenance or by the user. Scheduled a
preventive maintenance service by a trained service engineer for the 4200 TapeStation
system.
