Cleaning the Instrument
Cleaning the Instrument
The surfaces of the TapeStation instrument, the waste bucket, strip holder,
ScreenTape rack, the Lower nest cover and the Upper nest cover can be
cleaned with the following reagents:
• mild household detergents,
• mixture of 70% ethanol with 30% water,
• isopropanol, or
• RNaseZAP® (Ambion, Inc).
NOTE
Dislocation of Lower and Upper nest cover will create blockage errors during instrument
operation.
Please see “Assembling Nest Covers” on page 156 and “Insertion of the Lower Nest
Cover” on page 158 in case an issue arises.
CAUTION
Heat deformation of plastic components
Deformed plastic components will create blockage errors during instrument operation.
➔ Do not expose plastic components to heat.
➔ Do not use a dishwasher.
