5. Swing the syringe latch counterclockwise to unlock the syringe.

6. With your finger under the upper portion of the syringe barrel (just above
the syringe latch), pull the syringe up, and gently remove it.
Caution Do not operate the injector without a syringe in place because the syringe latch
may interfere with the motor if it is allowed to swing freely.
7. With your finger under the brass fitting of the needle support assembly,
pull up gently to release the brass fitting from the syringe carriage, and
remove the assembly.
8. Carefully use the brass fitting to pull the rod down until you can lift the
assembly out of the syringe carriage.
