Making Measurements
Example 9: Adjacent Channel Power Measurement
Stepping Through a Basic ACP Measurement
In this example, we will be using a transmitter with a carrier frequency
of 300 MHz. We will define the signal that we examine has having a
channel bandwidth of 14.0 kHz and a channel spacing requirement of
20.0 kHz, as shown in Figure 2-53. For this example we will use the
calibrator as the signal source. You would normally provide a signal to
the spectrum analyzer either by connecting a radio directly, or by
coupling a signal from the radio via an antenna.
CAUTION The maximum input to the spectrum analyzer should not exceed +30
dBm (1 W) with greater than or equal to 10 dB attenuation.
