Backrest, Seat, and Footrest
The articulating backrest, seat, and footrest are individually adjustable using the control
pendant. The backrest can be adjusted up to 85°, the seat can be adjusted up to 20°, and the
footrest can be adjusted up to 80°. Refer to Adjusting the Backrest, Seat, and Footrest on page
253 for instructions on adjusting the backrest, seat, and footrest.
Cushions
The headrest, backrest, seat, and footrest cushions are attached with Velcro and are replaceable
by the customer. Replacement cushions can be obtained from Technical Services. Use the
following part numbers when placing an order:
• 0160-5234T - set of 4 headrest cushions
• 0160-5235T - set of 3 bed cushions
Armrests
The armrests fold down to facilitate patient loading and unloading. Refer to Lowering/Raising
the Armrests on page 253 for instructions on lowering and raising the armrests.
Side Rails
There are two DIN rails on each side of the Mobile Patient Bed. The DIN rails can bear a load of
up to 40 lb and allow for the attachment of IV poles, mobile oxygen supply, and other caring
devices.
Column
The column is the portion of the bed that moves vertically for bed height adjustment. Refer to
Adjusting the Bed Height on page 254 for instructions on adjusting the bed height.
Base
The base houses the control electronics and electrical components, battery, main power
receptacle, emergency stop button, reset button, and lock foot pedals.
Casters
The Mobile Patient Bed sits on four casters that are equipped with directional (swivel) locks and
wheel locks. The casters can be manually unlocked using the knob on the face of each caster, or
they can be electronically unlocked using the control pendant, the auxiliary lock buttons on the
patient backrest and footrest, or the foot pedals on either side of the bed.
Refer to Locking/Unlocking the Casters on page 255 for instructions on locking and unlocking the
casters.
Drape (optional)
An optional drape can be placed over the slide bellows between the headrest assembly and
backrest for ease of cleaning the bellows. To install the drape:
1. Align the hole in the drape with the headrest frame tilt locking lever.
