3.1 Routine User Maintenance
Cleaning the Mobile Patient Bed
The Mobile Patient Bed should be cleaned daily after use. Acceptable cleaning methods include
wiping down the external surfaces of the bed, including the control pendant, with a clean cloth
and diluted isopropyl alcohol or bleach. The optional drape can be cleaned with diluted
isopropyl alcohol or bleach.
WARNINGS
If liquid is spilled on and/or around the Mobile Patient Bed, immediately wipe up the liquid.
Ensure that the area is completely dry before using the bed.
Do not use caustic cleaners, solvents, or strong detergents when cleaning the Mobile Patient Bed.
Do not steam clean or pressure wash the Mobile Patient Bed.
Allow isopropyl alcohol to dry completely before using the Mobile Patient Bed.
Calibrating the Mobile Patient Bed
The Mobile Patient Bed must be calibrated periodically, including after the bed has been reset
using the reset button (see Resetting the Mobile Patient Bed on page 249).
When calibration is required, the (home) button on the control pendant blinks slowly. To
calibrate the Mobile Patient Bed, press and hold the home button until the bed stops moving
(approximately 30 seconds). When calibration is complete, the bed will be in the flat position.
