• SSID: Enter the SSID name of your own wireless network
• IRC-W mode: Select Access Point
• Host name: Specify a host name.
• IP Address: Specify the IP address of the QATnode. The default value of the QATnode IP is
192.168.001.001. See the next paragraph for more information on how to check or modify the
QATnode IP address.
• Port QATnode: Specify the port number of the QATnode. The port must be the same as the one
set in the QATnode. See the next paragraph for more information on how to check or modify the
QATnode port.
• Keep alive timeout: The STwrench and QATnode exchange “keep alive” messages with a certain
frequency. This parameter specifies the time interval between two messages; the default value of
1 second is recommended. However, for “slow” networks this value may be increased.
• Security Type: Password for wireless network. For WEP 64 and WEP 128 it is possible to choose
between hexadecimal or ACII password:
• Internet Protocol (TCP/IP): Select Enabled DHCP if your network uses the DHCP protocol
(and specify the DNS 1 and DNS 2 if they are not set automatically by the network). It is also
possible to set manually an IP address (with Sub mask and Gateway) to the STwrench by
selecting the IP Config.
The Advanced settings... allow you to set the band, channels and parameters for the IRC-W dual band
radio module. Set the following parameters according to your specific radio network and access point:
