Removing the hard drive from the replacement S8500C server
To remove the hard drive from the S8500C server:
1. Reach inside the hard drive bay on the front panel of the S8500C server and grasp the two
"D" rings of the dual-loop carrier.
2. Pull the two loops toward each other to release the latch.
3. Pull the hard drive straight out of its bay by the loops (see Figure 13
).
Installing the original hard drive in the replacement S8500C server
To install the original hard drive in the replacement S8500C server:
1. Slide the original hard drive into the server (see Figure 13: Removing/replacing the hard
drive (S8500C) on page 62).
