BIOS setting Meaning Setting options Effect
Boot-up Num-lock This option sets the status
of the numeric keypad when the the
system is booted.
Off Only the cursor functions of the numerical keypad
are enabled.
On Numeric keypad is enabled.
Typematic rate The key repeat function is set here. Slow Slow key repeat.
Fast Fast key repeat.
PS/2 mouse support Sets whether the PS/2 mouse port should
be activated.
Disabled Disables this function.
Enabled Enables this function.
Auto Automatic activation of the function if PS/2 mouse
port is supported.
