3.6 Side semi-continuous power take-off shaft
To drive coupled machines the side semi-continuous PTO is provided. Place of installation of
the side semi-continuous PTO on tractor is shown in figure 3.6.1.

The side semi-continuous PTO is mounted in separate housing 1 (figure 3.6.2),
which is secured to the left lateral plane of the GB instead of the cover. PTO drive is car-
ried out from the shaft gear of the first gear and reverse movement of GB through mobile
gear 2, which is shifted by carrier 6 over shaft splines.
Engagement and disengagement of the side PTO is carried out with the clutch cou-
pling disengaged with the help of link 3. Locking of engaged and disengaged position of
mobile gear 2 is carried out by lock plate 5, interacting with lever 4.

When mounting some coupled machines the side semi-continuous PTO should be dis-
mounted, having unscrewed five bolts M12x35 and two bolts M12x45. Then mount GB cover on
its place, which is attached to tractor spare parts and accessories. When re-mounting the side
semi-continuous PTO no adjustments are required.
ATTENTION: WHEN DISMOUNTING AND MOUNTING THE SIDE SEMI-
CONTINUOUS PTO LINK 3 SHALL BE IN THE LOWER POSITION (PTO DISENGAGED)!
