7.8 Possible failures of front driving axle
A list of possible failures of the front driving axle and instructions for their trouble-
shooting are given in Table 7.8.1.

Remove the clutch and rinse the clutch parts
Springs of roller clenching mecha-

Safety clutch in intermediate sup-

Adjust the clutch for transmission of 400 to 800
Nꞏm torque by tightening the flange nut from the
side of transfer box
Driven and driving disks of safety

Replace the disks
Disc springs have lost flexibility or
have broken
Replace the springs
Transfer box control rod has an

Adjust the length of transfer box rod
Premature wear or tread and delaminating of front tyres
Noncompliance of air pressure in
front and rear tyres to the recom-

To prevent faults, maintain the air pressure in front
and rear tyres according to the recommended

- check the operation of FDA forced engagement,
eliminate the fault;
- adjust the control mechanism of the transfer box

Check and, if necessary, adjust the mesh accord-
ing the contact patch
