2.22.2 Connection of additional electrical equipment of coupled machines
To monitor the working process of coupled machines it is allowed to install monitor-
ing equipment (control consoles) in the tractor cabin, which is an accessory of the coupled
machine.
The coupled machines are equipped with various electrical and electronic units, the
operation of which can affect the readings of tractor gauges. Therefore the used electrical
instruments, which are part of the agricultural equipment, shall have a certificate of elec-
tromagnetic compatibility, in accordance with international requirements.
Connect the electrical equipment of coupled machines to the following elements of
tractor electrical equipment:
1. Seven-pin socket (type 12N, GOST 9200) – permissible current consumption is
not more than 10A, the electrical circuit is protected by a fuse in the tractor electrical
equipment:
-“+” to terminal No 5 of the socket;
- “-“ to terminal No 3 of the socket (connection of electrical consumer of coupled
machine is possible when parking lights of the same coupled machine are on).
2. Two-pin socket (ISO 4165:2001) located on the body of seven-pin socket (ter-
minal No 8) – permissible input current is not more than 12A, the circuit is protected by a
fuse in the tractor electrical equipment;
3. Tractor alternator.
- “+” to terminal “B+” of the alternator (terminal diameter = 6mm).
- “-“ to the engine housing.
Tractor design provides the following value of electrical power take-off to supply
electricity to the coupled machines (with basic configuration of tractor equipped with alter-
nator of 1150 W, with the engine running not less than 1500 rpm):
1. At night time with all lighting turned on:
- not more than 5A, with continuous on mode;
- not more than 20A, with intermittent on mode with duration of switching on less
than 15% of the total tractor operation time;
2. It is permissible to increase the consumed power during the day with lighting
turned off, up to the following values:
- not more 25A, with continuous on mode;
- not more than 40A, with intermittent on mode less than 15% of the total tractor op-
eration time.
ATTENTION: IN THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT OF THE COUPLED MACHINE
EQUIPMENT CONNECTED TO THE ALTENATOR FUSES SHALL BE INSTALLED OF
THE CORRESPONDING RATED VALUE!
