PRODUCT DATA JANUARY 2003
The tail rotor hub consists of a yoke, a splined trunnion, a flapping stop, a balance
wheel, and two pitch links. Upper and lower extensions on either side of the yoke serve
as blade grips. The hub attaches to the tail rotor output shaft by means of the trunnion
which is
roller bearing mounted about the flapping axis. The tail rotor has collective
pitch control only. Control inputs enter the rotating system by an annular contact bearing
set on the gearbox output shaft. Active counterweights minimize control forces
transmitted to the fixed system.
