COMPRESSOR SECTION
Clean air enters the compressor inlet. The compressor in the C40B is a titanium single
-stage centrifugal impeller which compresses the entering air ( 8.6 to 1 pressure ratio
at takeoff power ) and discharges it through a diffuser assembly and dual scroll collector
into a pair of external ducts. The ducts carry the air directly to the combustion section
at the aft end of the engine.
