The instrument panel, which consists of four separate sections, extends across the
front of the flight crew compartment. All instruments are front mounted in the panel to
make removal / replacement quick and easy. All the instruments are integrally illuminated
with adjustable
blue/ white lighting. Two map lights, located on the door posts on either
side of the instrument panel, are also provided.
Primary flight and navigation instruments are mounted on the right (pilot) section of
the panel, in the conventional "T" presentation, for an easy cross-check. Space is
provided on the left (copilot) section of the panel for the optional
copilot flight and
navigation instrument kit. All aircraft system indications are displayed on the IIDS
[Integrated Instrument Display System] located in the center section for easy
observation from either crew seat. The center section also contains space for optional
avionics control heads arranged for convenient viewing/adjustment by pilot or copilot.
Space is also allocated for the optional wheel landing gears' control panels (RETRACT
/ EXTEND). Additionally, a 15 centimeter (six inch) wide column between the IIDS and
copilot group is suitable for placement of standard width panel mounted avionics
customized installations (Loran, Global Positioning, Weather Radar, and other
communications radios, etc.). The top section contains control panels for
engine starting,
fire detection and extinguishing, FADEC functions, and master warning and caution
annunciation.
