The THRESHOLD parameter determines the audio
signal level above which the compressor starts
operating.
5 ms 0...99 ms ATTACK determines how fast the compressor
reduces amplification when the threshold is
exceeded.
250 ms 50...999 ms RELEASE determines how fast the compressor
returns to normal amplification, after the audio
signal level declined the threshold.
