6.5 Wipe disinfection for electrical devices without sterilization
RT: Room temperature
Phase I
Ź Remove any visible residues with a disposable disinfectant wipe.
Ź Wipe all surfaces of the optically clean product with a fresh, disposable
disinfectant wipe.
Ź Observe the specified application time (1 min minimum).
6.6 Manual cleaning/disinfecting
Ź Prior to manual disinfecting, allow water to drip off for a sufficient
length of time to prevent dilution of the disinfecting solution.
Ź After manual cleaning/disinfection, check visible surfaces visually for
residues.
Ź Repeat the cleaning/disinfection process if necessary.
Manual cleaning with immersion disinfection
D–W: Drinking water
FD–W: Fully desalinated water (demineralized, low microbiological contamination: drinking water quality at least)
RT: Room temperature
Phase I
Ź Fully immerse the product for at least 5 min in the cleaning solution.
Ensure that all accessible surfaces are moistened.
Ź Clean the product immersed in the solution, using a soft cloth or, if
necessary, a soft cleaning brush, until all visible residues have been
removed from the surfaces.
Ź If applicable brush through all surfaces that are not accessible to visual
inspection for at least 1 minute.
Ź During cleaning, mobilize non-rigid components, such as set screws,
joints, slides, etc., 3 times in each direction to the positive stop.
Ź After cleaning, use a suitable disposable syringe to thoroughly rinse
these parts of the product that are difficult to access at least 3 times.
