2. Safe handling
CAUTION
Federal law restricts this device to sale by, or on order of a physician!
Ź Manually clean the new product after removing its transport packag-
ing and prior to first use, and disinfect if necessary.
Ź Prior to use, check that the product is in good working order.
Ź Observe “Notes on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)“, see
TA022130.
Ź To prevent damage caused by improper setup or operation, and in order
not to compromise warranty and manufacturer liability:
– Use the product only according to these instructions for use.
– Follow the safety and maintenance instructions.
– Only combine Aesculap products with each other.
Ź Only allow products and accessories to be operated and used by indi-
viduals who have been trained in the use of endoscopic procedures.
Ź Keep the instructions for use accessible for the user.
Ź Always adhere to applicable standards.
Ź Ensure that the electrical facilities in the room in which the device is
being used conform to IEC norms.
Ź Set up the devices in such a way that the ventilation slots at the back
of the device are clear.
Ź Connect the devices to a suitable power source.
Ź Unplug the device by pulling on the plug, and never on the power cord.
Ź In order to avoid damage to the electrical components and inoperabil-
ity:
– Do not bend the product.
– Avoid bending, torsional, tensile or compression loading.

Risk of fatal injury from electric shock!
Ź Do not open the product.
Ź Connect the product only to a grounded power
supply.
WARNING
Risk of injury caused by incorrect operation of the
product!
Ź Attend appropriate product training before
using the product.
