Removing a power supply
To remove a power supply, complete the following steps.
1. Perform the appropriate following action based on whether the device is operating:
•
If the device is not operating during the replacement procedure, go to step 2.
•
If the device is operating and will continue to operate during the replacement, check the power LEDs to verify that
the minimum number of power supplies is functioning. Refer to Providing power to the device to check your power
requirements.
2. Turn off the power switch.
3. Unlatch the power cord retainer clip.
4. Remove the power cord.
5. Loosen the thumbscrew.
6. Grasp the handle and pull, sliding the power supply from the chassis and supporting the power supply from beneath as
you remove it.
