Trim and Tilt
Trim and Tilt Replacement
Lubricate the angle adjustment rod with Triple-
Guard grease. Install the rod. Tighten the locknuts
to a torque of 20 to 25 ft. lbs. (27 to 34 N·m).
Loosen the manual release valve if necessary and
extend tilt cylinder rod to match with holes in
swivel bracket.
Apply Triple-Guard grease to upper pin and install
the pin.
Secure the cylinder pin with cotter clip.
3-Cylinder Models
Install the ground lead.
Place trim/tilt unit into position. Apply Triple-Guard
grease to the lower pin and install the pin.
Install external snap rings on lower pin with sharp
edge of ring facing out.
Loosen the manual release valve if necessary and
extend tilt cylinder rod to match with holes in
swivel bracket.
Apply Triple-Guard grease to upper pin and install
the pin.
Install external snap rings onto upper pin with
sharp edge facing out.
