Diodes
The relay block contains two diodes. A diode acts as a one
way switch which permits current flow in one direction, but not
in the other.
The reference numbers below correlate with the circled num-
bers in the 7.11 STARTER/IGNITION INTERLOCK flow
charts.
1. Check diode with an ohmmeter as shown in Figure 7-39.
2. Check diode polarity as shown in Figure 7-40.
3. Replace diodes as necessary.
