6.9 Resetting the device (Device Reset)
Arestrictedresetofthedevicetofactorysettings(DeviceReset)canbeperformedusingthe:
•PCServiceProgram(see:„SoftwaremanualType8681|PCserviceprogram“)for“classic”designsor
•BürkertCommunicator(forIO-LinkandbüS/CANopendesignonly)or
•directly on the control head.
Procedure (directly at the control head):
→ SimultaneouslyactuateT1+T2+T3(approx.2.5slong)toaccessthe"DeviceReset"mode–thecor-
respondingashingpatterndepends on the design of the control head.
Ifthedeviceisnotreset10safterswitchingtothe„DeviceReset“mode,thismodeisautomaticallyleft.
→ SimultaneouslyactuateT1+T2+T3again(approx.2.5slong)–thiswillresetthedeviceforreal.The
ashingpatternwhichdepends on the design of the control head, indicates that the device was reset –
see also chapter “21.2Flashingpattern&faultsignalling”onpage143.
Device Reset resets the following values to the factory settings:
•
Teach positions S1...S3 all positions "not taught"
•
FeedbackeldsfromS1...S3  (seechapter“6.8.1”onpage28)
•
ResettableswitchingcyclecountersV1...V3 (seechapter“6.8.2”onpage29)
•
Resettableoperatingduration  (seechapter“6.8.2”onpage29)
•
ServiceintervalsswitchingcyclesV1...V3 (seechapter“6.8.2”onpage29)
•
Serviceintervaloperatingduration  (seechapter“6.8.2”onpage29)
•
Service/maintenancenotication
(signalingofelapsedmaintenanceintervals) inactive(seechapter“6.8.2”onpage29)
