NOTE
1: How to restart the device
If the settings are changed by actuating the DIP switches, these changes will not take eect
until the device is restarted! For a restart:
•
triggerarestartcommandviaBürkertCommunicatoror
•brieydisconnectthecontrolheadfromthepowersupplyandreconnector
•switchthepowersupplyo/onor
•transmit an appropriate reset message.
NOTE
2: Special characteristics for the DIP switch setting DIP1 to DIP6 “000000”
•This setting is the factory setting, i.e. software congurable address/Node ID.
Thefurtherbehaviourinthenetworkdependsonthe“StaticNode-ID”,seeforthisthefollowing
explana tions.
•Bus mode büS (bueS) or CANopen:
ThebehaviourwiththisDIPswitchsettingdependsonthebusmode(büS(bueS)orCANopen).
The factory setting is büS(bueS).Thebusmodecanbechangedbysoftwareonly-seechapter
“15.20.4Accesstofurtherparameters(cyclicandacyclic)”onpage117.
•Device addressing using software in the:
büS/bueS mode:
FortheDIPswitchposition(DIP1toDIP6=000000)theparameter
“Fixed CANopen address” (“Static Node ID”) has a factory setting of
“0”=“Auto addressing” ofthedeviceaddress(CANopenaddress,Node
ID).Onthisoccasion,theNodeIDwillbeautomaticallycongured(device
addressesfrom1to127arepossible).
Ifthedeviceistoreceiveaxeddeviceaddress,the“Fixed CANopen
address” (“Static Node ID”)
must be set to the appropriate value using the
BürkertCommunicator.Toacceptthisvalue,thedevicemustberestarted.
Ifthedevicedoesnotreceivethe“target”deviceaddresssetasparameter
”Fixed
CANopenaddress”
,thesolenoidvalvesremaininthecongured
safety position and an error status is displayed.
Ifthe“FixedCANopenaddress”(“StaticNodeID”)isresetto“0”(=“Auto
addressing”),theautoaddressingstartsafterarestartwiththelastused
deviceaddress(NodeID).
Whenchangingthecongurationofthedeviceaddressfrom“viaDIP
switch”to“softwarecongured”,the“FixedCANopenaddress”(“Static
Node-ID”)isresetonceto“0”(=“Autoaddressing”)attherequiredrestart.
Auto addressing starts a usual after a restart with the last used device
address(NodeID).
In the case of auto addressing, the interfaces of the individual devices
havetobecheckedandpossiblyreassigned,e.g.viaBürkertCommuni-
cator–seesoftwaremanualforType8920(searchthereinfor“büSnetwork
conguration”/”büSmap”),seechapter“4.3”.
CANopen mode: Softwarecongurabledeviceaddress/NodeID(from1to127ispossible):
ConsiderforCANopenbusmodethatasoftwareconguredNodeIDof“0”
resultsinadeviceNodeIDof“1”!Butiftwodeviceshadthesameaddress,
bus problems would result!
Please note:
Hardware-conguredvalues(thatmeans:setviaDIPswitches)overwritesoftware-
conguredvalues!
