6.2 Reducing insert
In all wire drive units the gas-solenoid valve is provided with a mechanical
reducing insert having a bore of Ø0.6mm. This insert adapts the gas flow
rate at the litre scale of the pressure reducer on the gas cylinder.
In the case that a company is working with a central gas supply (inlet pres-
sure 6 … 8bar), the welding torch will not be provided with a sufficient gas
quantity. Therefore, the reducing insert must be removed.
