Compatible Devices
System expansion is achieved by using the following devices.
Keypad
Keypads enable setting, unsetting and programming of the system. The system must have at
least one keypad. Each keypad provides an additional two zones and one switched-negative
programmable output.
The following types of keypad are available.
MKP1 – This keypad has a back-lit Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), a Power LED, a
programmable Function LED and a built-in proximity module. The proximity module
enables users to enter their user code by presenting a proximity tag or card. The keypad
supports 3-resistor anti-masking zones.
MKP2 – This is similar to the MKP1, but without the proximity module.
MNETLCD
– This keypad has a back-lit Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), a Power LED and a
programmable Function LED. If required, an optional NETPROX proximity module can be
fitted.
MNETARM
(Remote Arming Station) – This is similar to the MNETLCD, without the LCD. The
MNETARM allows only setting and unsetting of the system.
IDNode and MIDNode
IDNodes and MIDNodes provide up to eight additional programmable outputs (four switched
positive and four switched negative) and 30 additional zones using a single ID detector loop.
A single IDNode or MIDNode can be connected to a network on an M550, M600, M750 or
M800 control panel. Up to 24 zones and six outputs (three switched positive and three
switched negative) can be used.
When using IDNodes, a maximum of two IDNodes can connect to a network on an M1000
panel, and up to 40 zones can be used. When using MIDNodes, a maximum of four
MIDNodes can connect to a network on an M1000 panel, and up to 120 zones can be used.
XNode and MNode
The XNode provides eight zones and two programmable outputs (one switched positive and
one switched negative). Each XNode can also drive up to four keypads, and a CPA6 output
module can be connected (outputs follow zone status).
The MNode is similar to an XNode. It supports three-resistor anti-masking zones, but has no
output module port.
CPA6 Output Module
The CPA6 Output Module provides eight switched-negative programmable outputs rated at
100mA, which can be used to drive LEDs or relays, perhaps to give ward status information
and/or zone alarm indications.
When connected to a panel, up to 18 Output Modules can be daisy-chained.
