In the delivered state, the administrator password is
always set to 0000.
User type The user can either be a standard user or an expert. All of
the functionalities are not available to standard users (see

Parameters Description
Profibus address Addresses at which the AST40 sequence controller can be
reached.

Profinet:
Parameters Description
IP address The IP address at which the AST40 sequence controller
can be reached in the network via the Profinet.
Net mask It names the network segment in which the AST40
sequence controller is located.
Gateway The IP address of the gateway for the network segment in
which the AST40 sequence controller is located.
Station name Station name of the AST40 sequence controller within the
Profinet.

EtherNet/IP:
Parameters Description
IP address The IP address at which the AST40 sequence controller
can be reached in the network via EtherNet/IP.
Net mask It names the network segment in which the AST40
sequence controller is located.
Gateway The IP address of the gateway for the network segment in
which the AST40 sequence controller is located.
DHCP If DHCP is active, then the set / displayed network
addresses are not valid. They are assigned via a DHCP
server.
BOOTP If BOOTP is active, then the set / displayed network
addresses are not valid. They are assigned via BOOTP.
