16 Help with Faults
In the event of malfunctions, check whether the instructions in the Safety Regulations and
the Operating Manual are being observed. If necessary, undertake suitable measures.
The following table includes possible errors:
Malfunction Remedy
Touch display remains dark Check that the power cable is plugged into the electrical outlet.
Check that the AST40 master switch is switched on.
AST40 shows errors See 15 Error display and troubleshooting
No connection to the sequence
controller possible
Check whether the IP address set for the AST40 sequence
controller is correct.
Display does not react to touch Press a bit harder onto the touch display.
Ensure that the touch display is only touched with a finger or with
the optionally available pen.
Check that you are touching the touch display in a place in which
a button or an entry field are displayed.
Carry out a calibration of the touch display (see 14.3
Calibrating
the touch display
).

If you discover that the AST40 sequence controller is defective, please send it to
DEPRAG. Please do not try to troubleshoot or rectify any electrical fault on your own under
any circumstances whatsoever.
