5. Troubleshooting
Windows 7 (Procedure A)
Procedure

Connect the machine and the computer with a USB cable.

Turn on the machine.
C
Click the [Start] menu, and then click [Devices and Printers].
D
Check that the model you are using is displayed under [Unspecied].
E
Right-click the icon of the model you are using, and then click [Troubleshoot].
F
When a window is displayed with the message [Install a driver for this device], click [Apply this x].
G
If a message is displayed asking you to [Set as default printer], click [Skip this x].
H
If the message [Troubleshooting has completed] is displayed, click [Close the troubleshooter].

� If the printer icon for the machine you are using is displayed under [Printers], the driver has been
successfully installed�
If you could not solve your problem by following this procedure, perform the procedure under "Windows 7 (Procedure B)�"

Procedure

If [Found New Hardware] appears, click [Cancel] to close it.

Click the [Start] menu, and then right-click [Computer].

Click [Properties].

Click [Device Manager].
If the [User Account Control] window appears, click [Continue].
The [Device Manager] appears.

From the [View] menu, click [Show hidden devices].
F
In the list, nd [Other devices], and then double-click it.
G
Under the selected item, select the name of the model you are using or [Unknown device].
H
From the [Action] menu, click [Uninstall].

In the [Conrm Device Uninstall] window, select [Delete the driver software for this device.], then click
[OK].
