4. Useful Functions

The name and image of the machine displayed in VPanel can be changed� For the change method, see the corresponding page in
the user's manual�

Add the third and fourth machines.

LAN connections can also be used for the third and fourth machines�

Turn o the connected machine, and then disconnect the USB cable or LAN cable that connects the
machine and the computer.

Verify that the machine's operating status is [OFFLINE] in VPanel.

The same as the second machine, connect the machine to the computer and set the ID.

CAUTION
Do not set duplicate IDs.
Simultaneously connecting multiple machines with the same ID may lead to the computer shutting
down or it being impossible to install the driver.

When the ID setting is complete on all the machines to connect, use USB cables to connect all the
machines to the computer.
MEMO
[DWX-42W (Copy 1)] is displayed for the name of the machine (third machine: [DWX-42W (Copy 2)], fourth machine:
[DWX-42W (Copy 3)]).
Adding LAN-connected Machines
Check that the following operations are complete�
" Setup Guide (reference page)
• The USB driver is installed�
• The rst machine is connected over a LAN (the computer's IP address has been set)�

Set the rst machine to [OFFLINE].

Turn o the rst connected machine, and then disconnect the USB cable or LAN cable that connects
the machine and the computer.
Ensure that not even one machine is connected to the computer.

Click (the VPanel icon) in the task tray on the desktop.
VPanel will be displayed.
If you cannot nd
in the task tray, start the program from the Windows [Start] screen (or the [Start] menu).
