3.5.1 S
TRIP
3.5.1.1 Label indications
Each strip is identified by a barcode of 16 characters divided in 7 fields:
[ AAA ] B [ CC ] D [ EE ] [ FFF ] [GGGG]
with the following meaning:
A (three digits) identification code of the test
B code of the production year of the test The year is calculated as follows: year = 2004 + B
C (two digits) production batch from 0 to 99
D code of the validity period (in n. of months) of the test. See following table:

E ( two digits) used only in the CFT strips; indicates the coefficient for the evaluation of the final result
on the basis of the batch features.
F (three digits) used only in the CFT strips; indicates the re-suspension value of the lyophile.
G (4 digits) identification code of the strip
On the strip are also clearly reported
- The year and month of expiry. The strip is valid until the last day of the indicated month.
- Production batch
The barcode is automatically read by the instrument during the identification phase that precedes the
actual cycle phase.
3.5.1.2 Insertion and extraction
The strip is retained in its seat in the tray by a spring stop.
