The test foresees the execution at the same time of the following:
• Anti-complementary power of the sample (ACP) in well 6 (blu curve)
• Reaction Sample-Antigen in well 5 (green curve)
The cycle is carried out in 3 reading operations (R1, R2, R3) for both the reaction with the antigen and
the anti-complementary power (ACP). The reading is executed during the passage under reading
station n.1. The obtained kinetics are of the type represented in the figure 112, where the OD of the
two curves are thus represented: OD X
yyy
is the X
th
reading which is carried out on well yyy (antigen or

The kinetics are analyzed in four phases:
a) Control of the acceptable limits
Two temporal thresholds are established ACP
min
e ACP
max
and the comparisons are done:
if R3
ACP
> ACP
max
a titre of >1/128 is given.
if R3
ACP
< ACP min%
a titre of >1/128 is given.
b) Anti-complementary power determination
A threshold value is set that is equal to the percentage ACP% (parameter stored in the method file) of
the first reading value
if OD3
ACP
> OD1
ACP.

The result is “A.C.P.” (Anti-Complementary Power of the sample) fig 113.

The readings concerning the antigen well are evaluated and the routine goes on to phase c)
