CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
NOTE:
There is a check hose at the bottom of the①
air filter case. If dust and/or water collect in
this hose, clean the air filter element and ai
filter case.
1. Remove:
·driver seat
·passenger seat
·console
·air filter case cover ①
Remove air filter:
·air filter Holder
·air filter check hose
·air filter case cover
·air filter element
NOTE:
Never operate the engine with the air filte
element removed. This will allow unfiltered
air to enter, causing rapid wear and possible
engine damage. Additionally, operation
without the filter element will affect throttle
tuning with subsequent poor performance
and possible engine overheating.
2. Check:
·air filter element
① air filter frame
② sponge material
③ element retaining plate
·Damaged
Replace.
3. Clean:
·air filter element
a. Wash the element gently, but thoroughly in
solvent.
