3.7.1 Vial capping (Crimping Cap)

You must have a crimper available. Fit the septum on the cap, then:
• Clean the inside surfaces of the crimper jaws.
• Place the crimp cap over the top of the vial.
• Hold the vial and place the crimper on top of it. Squeeze the handle until it touches the
adjuster screw.
Check each vial for proper crimping. Correct crimp features:
• flat cap surface;
• flat septa surface;
• tight fitting of the cap edge;
• plain and undeformed cap sides.
