Description
In modem mode, request
to
send
(RTS)
from the
I/O
device dropped
during a 5100 receive operation. In terminal mode, clear
to
send
(CTS)
from
the
I/O
device dropped during a 5100 transmit operation. These
conditions can
be
caused by:
The
I/O
device does not conform
to
the EIA RS232C standard
interface.
A defective cable.
The
I/O
device is attached with the wrong cable.
The
I/O
device power is not on.
The wrong mode (modem, ignore, terminal, or set) is specified.
Hardware malfunction.
Hardware malfunction.
The 5100 recognized
an
end-of-file
condition.
This condition can be
caused by:

Entering CMD
O.
·
In modem mode, data terminal ready from the
I/O
device
is
off
during
a 5100 receive operation.
·
In terminal mode, data set ready from the
I/O
device is
off
during a
5100 receive operation.
The Serial
I/O
Adapter feature hardware is not installed
or
it
is
defective.
The Serial
I/O
Adapter program is not loaded
in
user storage.
An invalid device address was specified.
