Chapter 14. iSeries Model 890
The iSeries 890 is a 16-way and 32-way server
based on POWER4 technolgy. The Model 890 can
support thousands of users and deliver top-end
performance for Web, on demand business, and
mainstay 5250 online transaction processing
(OLTP) applications. With IBM Eserver Capacity
Upgrade on Demand (CUoD) and multi-platform
and application support, this server delivers
maximum function and adaptability for business in
an on demand world.
The 16-way and 32-way POWER4 processors
range from 20000 to 37400 CPW, up to 256 GB of
memory and up to 144 TB of disk.
