The #5712 can be placed in any expansion tower. It cannot be used to drive the
internal removable media bays in #5074/#5094 towers.
The #5712 is hot pluggable.
When used as a Direct Attached Adapter, order the #0645 in place of the #5712.
#5715 PCI-X Tape/DASD Controller
The #5715 PCI-X Tape/DASD Controller provides Ultra SCSI attachment is the
follow on to #5705. The #5715 has two SCSI buses, one bus provides one
internal and the one external SCSI port. Each bus can only support one
connection, an internal DASD connection or an external tape or removable media
connection on the external port. The #5715 does not supports RAID-5. It does
not support hardware data compression.
The external tape port supports one, or a combination, of these devices:

Two 7210-025 External DVD-RAMs. The two devices are daisy chained.
One 7210-025 External DVD-RAM and one 7210-020 External CD-ROM: The
two devices are daisy chained with the 7210-025 physically connected first.
No #0120 attachment specify code is required for the 7210-020.
